Workshops available for accessibility information, social enterprise and assistive technology.

We teach life skills to the next generation of mentors.
AWW training workshops provide specific disability awareness knowledge and hands on strategies on how to integrate individuals with physical and developmental disabilities into workplace environments. Our goal is to improve the quality of training programs to increase impact in communities. Training is focused on establishing the culture of inclusion and accessibility in business, leisure, recreation and sport.

The need for the AODA approved staff training component is crucial for professional skill development and the necessity of set metrics for an enterprise’s capacity and sustainability of that training. This contributes towards the continuity of successful benchmarking and best practices in alignment with accessibility policy.
Although many facilities are either designed with accessibility in mind or are retro fitting existing facilities to meet the accessible standard now required, there is often a gap in training and capacity of staff who are delivering the actual programs within the “bricks and mortar” facilities. AWW workshops are customized so that training sessions are both site and client specific, and include access to assistive equipment, critical support and on-going consultations.
